Half-Day Wedding Dance Course in Durham

Being able to dance at parties, weddings and band nights is one of the most enviable skills you can have. The simple techniques you gain from this fun and friendly course with Lindy Jazz teachers will give you the confidence to enjoy social occasions even more. Wear normal clothes and comfortable shoes. You are not being trained for 'Strictly Come Dancing' so sparkly tops are only optional. This course is informal and relaxed and will focus on social dance skills and not dance performance skills. Quite different!

You will look natural & confident and be able to dance to most styles of music played at parties and weddings eg jazz, swing, R&B, funk, soul, pop & even Michael Jackson. Lindy Jazz teachers have an effective & friendly way of teaching people who have no dance experience but who want to dance at parties & weddings.

Every couple will come away with:

• their own  unique & beautiful choreography that looks & feels right for them & fits their chosen music (no need to worry about music if you've no idea what music you'd like to dance to)

• real dance skills without routines to memorise
• a handout with useful reminders of things you learnt
• tips for practising at home

Music

Some couples will have a special song they want to dance to. Some couples have no particular preference. Your music can be included in the workshop if you wish. Just bring your CD.
