Streets of Dance on Sunday 13 July will be an exhilarating day-long celebration of dance on the streets of Durham and it’s free!
What’s happening:

•    ‘The Quiet Riot’ Event will launch the Streets of Dance Festival. About 1000 people will come along to Millennium Place and dance to their own MP3s/iPods
•    Russell Sargeant will try to break his own record for swing flips
•    Performances by the Jiving Lindy Hoppers, the Bad Taste Crew (UK Hip Hop Champions) and The Maine Street Jazzmen in Millennium Place
•    Taster workshops in Lindy Hop and Hip Hop for everyone
•    New College Durham Students’ performance
•    A massive dance jam for all dance styles

The Streets of Dance project will be managed in partnership between Lindy Jazz & Durham City Vision Events Team.

Have you always wanted to learn to dance, but thought you had two left feet? Dreaming about dancing, but too scared to take the plunge? Introducing SWING & JIVE, an exciting new dance night which promises to give dance fans a taste of Swing and Jive at its best - and take the North East by storm.
