Streets of Dance 13 July

Streets of Dance on Sunday 13 July will be an exhilarating day-long celebration of dance on the streets of Durham and it’s free!
What’s happening:

•    ‘The Quiet Riot’ Event will launch the Streets of Dance Festival. About 1000 people will come along to Millennium Place and dance to their own MP3s/iPods
•    Russell Sargeant will try to break his own record for swing flips
•    Performances by the Jiving Lindy Hoppers, the Bad Taste Crew (UK Hip Hop Champions) and The Maine Street Jazzmen in Millennium Place
•    Taster workshops in Lindy Hop and Hip Hop for everyone
•    New College Durham Students’ performance
•    A massive dance jam for all dance styles

The Streets of Dance project will be managed in partnership between Lindy Jazz & Durham City Vision Events Team.
